1. How Do I Pay?
We make payments simple! Savy Poop Pickup uses a secure client portal to manage your account and process payments. If you signed up through our Instant Quote form, your account was created during that process. If not, we’ll create one for you and send your login details via email.
Inside your portal, you can:
- Link your credit/debit card securely
- View invoices and service records
- Manage or pause your services
Important: Your card must be linked before your first scheduled cleanup. If it’s not, we’ll try to contact you and knock on your door. If we can’t reach you, your visit will be rescheduled. During busy seasons, this may mean a delay.
2. Do You Bill Monthly?
Yes.
For recurring customers:
Recurring services are billed on the 1st of each month, in advance.
Your first visit includes an initial cleanup to bring your yard up to standard. This cleanup is free with recurring service.
Your first invoice will include:
Any prorated cleanups remaining for the current month.
Example:
If Mike signs up for weekly cleanups starting April 12 at $100/month, and his yard qualifies for the free initial cleanup:
April 12 charge: Two remaining cleanups in April → $50
May 1 and beyond: $100/month
If your yard has heavy buildup, the cleanup will be spread across your first month of recurring visits. This ensures your yard is restored to standard conditions while keeping your pricing consistent.
If payment is not received by the first service of the month, recurring customers will be temporarily removed from the schedule until the balance is resolved. Monthly service fees are non-refundable, but if you cancel mid-month, we’ll still complete your cleanups through the end of the paid period.
For one-time cleanups:
One-time services are for customers who do not sign up for recurring service. These are priced based on yard condition, size, and time since the last cleanup. Rates start at $90 and increase depending on buildup. Fees and promotions are subject to change. Payment is due before service is scheduled and must be processed to confirm your visit.
Standard Yard Size:
All pricing is based on a standard yard size of up to ⅛ acre (about 5,445 sq ft). If your yard is between ⅛ and ¼ acre, an oversized yard fee of $30/month applies. Yards larger than ¼ acre are considered commercial and billed by time. We’ll always communicate pricing in advance.
Small Cleanup Area in a Large Yard:
If your yard is large but the pet waste is confined to a small area, let us know. We’ll take that into account when assessing the cleanup and pricing.
3. Client Responsibilities
As a Savy Poop Pickup client, you agree to the following:
- Safe Access: Maintain clear and safe access to your yard. If we are unable to enter or perform service due to a locked gate, obstructed path, or unsafe conditions, the visit will still be charged.
- Pet Changes: Notify us if the number of pets in your household changes.
- Advance Notice for Pauses: Let us know ahead of time if you’d like to pause service (see Section 4).
- Prompt Payment: Any unpaid balances must be resolved within 15 days.
- Inclement Weather: Snow, ice, or other severe weather may delay service. We’ll return as soon as conditions are safe.
- Damage Disclaimer: We assume no liability for damages to yards, landscaping, gates, pets, or other property.
- Rate Adjustments: Fees and promotions are subject to change. We’ll give you at least two weeks’ notice before any pricing changes go into effect.
- Service Cancellation: Either party may cancel service in writing.
- Visible Waste Only: We scoop only what we can see. If pet waste is hidden under leaves, tall grass, snow, debris, or other obstructions, it may be missed during your service. Please ensure the yard is maintained and free of heavy coverage to help us provide the most thorough cleanup possible.
4. Cancellations & Pauses
You may cancel or pause your service at any time in writing via the client portal or by emailing info@savypooppickup.com.
- 48-Hour Cancellation Notice: Cancellations must be submitted at least 48 hours before your next scheduled cleanup to avoid charges.
- Pausing Service: Services can be paused for up to 30 days without penalty. If paused longer, your account will be deactivated and a new initial cleanup fee will apply upon reactivation.
5. When Will You Arrive?
We can’t promise an exact time, but we’ll text you when we’re on the way (typically 15–60 minutes prior). Scoop routes run from 7 a.m. until sundown and are optimized for efficiency. Your scoop day will stay the same weekly unless otherwise communicated.
6. Do I Need to Be Home?
No! As long as we have clear gate access, you do not need to be home. For everyone’s safety, we kindly ask that pets be kept indoors during your scheduled visit. This helps our technicians work efficiently without distractions. If your dog is friendly and you’d like us to meet them first, feel free to introduce us before your first cleanup.
After your visit, we’ll email a completion photo showing your gate secured.
7. What If My Service Falls on a Holiday?
If your scoop day falls on a major holiday, we’ll skip that week and clean double the doo the following week. You’ll still be billed since it’s a double pickup.
8. Do You Sanitize Your Equipment?
Absolutely. We sanitize our tools between every job using a pet-safe, kennel-grade disinfectant to prevent cross-contamination between properties.
9. Do You Take the Waste?
No. We double-bag the waste and place it in your outdoor trash barrel. If no barrel is accessible, we’ll neatly leave the bag(s) near your gate.
10. Initial & Snow Cleanups
- Initial Cleanup (Recurring Customers): Free with signup
Every new recurring account begins with an initial cleanup to bring the yard to our standard.
- Average yards: cleanup included in first month’s service.
- Heavy buildup: cost may be spread across your first month of service.
- Extensive buildup: an additional initial cleanup fee starting at $75 will apply. This includes up to 60 minutes of scooping; additional time is billed at $15 per 15 minutes.
- One-Time Cleanup Service (Non-Recurring): Starting at $90
For customers who do not sign up for recurring service. This is a single cleanup visit priced based on yard size, pet count, and waste buildup—starting at $90.
- Spring Cleanups (after snow melt or 2+ months): Starting at $150
Initial vs. One-Time Cleanups – What’s the Difference?
- Initial Cleanup: Provided at no cost for new recurring customers (as long as the yard hasn’t gone more than 2 months without service). This visit brings your yard up to scooping standards before regular service begins.
- One-Time Cleanup: For customers who don’t sign up for recurring service. This is a single cleanup visit priced based on yard size, pet count, and waste buildup—starting at $90. Fees and promotions are subject to change.
11. Privacy Policy
We collect personal data to provide services, improve efficiency, and send relevant communication.
What We Collect:
- Name, address, phone number, email
- Gate access instructions, yard details
- Pet names, preferences
- Payment information
We use this information to:
- Deliver your scheduled cleanups
- Send updates and confirmations
- Process payments securely
- Share service alerts or promotions
We may use third-party platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta) to deliver relevant offers. You may opt out at any time by replying “STOP” or clicking “unsubscribe.” We do not sell or rent your information.
Security: We protect your data using SSL encryption and other industry-standard protocols. However, no system is 100% immune. By using our site and services, you accept these limitations.
Your Rights: You may:
- Request access to your data
- Ask for corrections
- Request deletion
- Opt out of future communication

12. Photo & Media Use
Savy Poop Pickup technicians may take photos in the field to document completed services (such as bagged waste or secured gates). These photos are also sometimes used to create educational content, videos, or promotional materials that demonstrate our services to potential customers.
- No Identifiable Details: Photos will never include identifying features of your property (such as house numbers, vehicle license plates, or recognizable landmarks) that would allow others to know the location.
- Pets: If a pet is pictured, we may use the photo for promotional purposes unless you opt out.
- Opt-Out Option: You may opt out of photo use for marketing at any time by emailing info@savypooppickup.com.
By agreeing to these Terms, you grant Savy Poop Pickup permission to use service-related photos as described above, unless you opt out in writing.
13. Final Notes
- Either party can cancel service at any time in writing.
- Message and data rates may apply for SMS alerts.
- By signing up, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
