1. How Do I Pay?

Savy Poop Pickup uses a secure client portal to manage accounts and process payments. If you signed up through our Instant Quote form, your account was created during that process. If not, we will create one for you and send login details via email.

Inside your portal, you can:

  • Link your credit/debit card securely

  • View invoices and service records

  • Manage or pause your services

A valid payment method must be linked before your first scheduled cleanup. If payment information is not linked, we will attempt to contact you. If we cannot reach you, your visit may be rescheduled.

2. Billing & Payment Terms

Recurring Service Billing

Recurring services are billed on the 1st of each month, in advance.

We’ll scoop for up to 30 minutes. If there’s more waste than can be completed in that time, no worries — it will continue to be removed during your scheduled recurring visits until your yard is fully up to our service standard. This cleanup is free with recurring service.

If payment is not received by the first service of the month, recurring customers may be temporarily removed from the schedule until the balance is resolved.

Monthly service fees are non-refundable. If service is canceled mid-month, cleanups will continue through the end of the paid billing period.

Your first invoice will include any prorated cleanups remaining for the current month.

Example:

If Mike signs up for weekly cleanups starting April 12 at $100/month, and his yard qualifies for the free initial cleanup:

April 12 charge: Two remaining cleanups in April → $50

May 1 and beyond: $100/month

Billing Calculation for Weekly Recurring Service

Weekly recurring service is priced per visit based on the number of dogs at the property.

Example base rates:

  • 1 dog: $25 per weekly cleanup

  • 2 dogs: $27 per weekly cleanup

Recurring invoices are processed as a monthly subscription.

Rather than billing exactly four visits per calendar month, weekly service is averaged across the year at approximately 4.33 weeks per month. This accounts for months that contain five service visits.

As a result:

  • The per-cleanup rate remains unchanged.

  • The monthly subscription total reflects the weekly schedule averaged across the year.

  • Billing remains consistent each month regardless of how many calendar weeks fall within that month.

One-Time Cleanups (Non-Recurring)

One-time services are for customers who do not enroll in recurring service.

Rates start at $105 for up to ⅛ acre for yards not cleaned in the past 2 weeks, covering the first 60 minutes (prepaid).

Additional time beyond 60 minutes is billed at $50 per additional 30 minutes.

Pricing varies based on yard size, pet count, time since last cleanup, and overall waste buildup. All pricing will be communicated in advance.

Payment must be processed before service is scheduled to confirm your visit.

Standard Yard Size

All pricing is based on a standard yard size of up to ⅛ acre (approximately 5,445 sq ft).

  • Yards between ⅛ and ¼ acre: $30/month oversized yard fee

  • Yards larger than ¼ acre: considered commercial and billed by time

Pricing will always be communicated in advance.

Small Cleanup Area in a Large Yard

If your yard is larger but pet waste is confined to a smaller section, this may be considered when assessing cleanup time and pricing.

3. Client Responsibilities

By enrolling in service, clients agree to:

  • Maintain clear and safe access to the yard. If entry is not possible due to locked gates, obstructions, or unsafe conditions, the visit will still be charged.

  • Notify Savy Poop Pickup of any changes in the number of pets.

  • Provide notice before pausing service (see Section 4).

  • Resolve unpaid balances within 15 days.

  • Understand that service may be delayed due to weather (see Section 11).

  • Accept that Savy Poop Pickup assumes no liability for damages to yards, landscaping, gates, pets, or property.

  • Accept that fees and promotions are subject to change with at least two weeks’ notice.

  • Understand that only visible waste will be removed. Understand that only visible waste will be removed. We scoop only what we can see. If pet waste is hidden under leaves, tall grass, snow, debris, or other obstructions, it may be missed during your service. Please ensure the yard is maintained and free of heavy coverage to help us provide the most thorough cleanup possible.

4. Cancellations & Pauses

Service may be canceled or paused at any time in writing via the client portal or by emailing info@savypooppickup.com.

  • Cancellations must be submitted at least 48 hours before the next scheduled cleanup to avoid charges.

  • Service may be paused for up to 90 days without penalty.

  • After 90 days, accounts may be deactivated.

  • Upon resuming service, a cleanup fee may apply depending on yard condition.

  • Free initial cleanups apply to new recurring customers only.

5. Service Scheduling & Arrival

Exact arrival times cannot be guaranteed. Clients will receive a text notification when the technician is on the way (typically 15–60 minutes prior).

Routes operate between 7:00 a.m. and sundown. Assigned scoop days remain consistent unless otherwise communicated.

6. Client Presence & Pets

Clients do not need to be home provided gate access is available.

For everyone’s safety, we kindly ask that pets be kept indoors during your scheduled visit. This helps our technicians work efficiently without distractions. If your dog is friendly and you’d like us to meet them first, feel free to introduce us before your first cleanup.

A photo of the secured gate (if applicable) will be uploaded to the client portal following service.

7. Holiday Scheduling

If a scheduled service falls on a major holiday, that visit may be skipped and a double cleanup performed the following week. Billing remains unchanged in such cases.

8. Equipment Sanitation

All tools are sanitized between properties using a pet-safe, kennel-grade disinfectant to prevent cross-contamination.

9. Waste Disposal

Pet waste is double-bagged and placed in the client’s outdoor trash barrel. If no barrel is accessible, waste will be left neatly near the gate. If you have a preferred location for waste placement, please let us know.

10. Initial & Spring Cleanups

Initial Cleanup (Recurring Customers)

Free with signup. Includes up to 30 minutes of scooping. Any remaining buildup will continue to be removed during scheduled recurring visits until service standard is met.

Spring Cleanups (After Snow Melt or 2+ Months)

Spring Cleanups apply to yards that have not been cleaned for 2 or more months, typically due to winter accumulation.

Starting at $150 for up to ⅛ acre, covering the first 60 minutes (prepaid).

Additional time beyond 60 minutes is billed at $70 per additional 30 minutes, due to extended buildup and increased labor requirements.

11. Winter Service Policy

Snow & Ice Scooping Policy

  • We do not dig through snow or ice.

  • We remove only waste that is visible on top of the snow.

  • Frozen, buried, or trapped waste will remain until safe removal is possible.

  • Once snow and ice melt, any remaining waste will be fully cleaned during your regular service visit.

Winter Operations

Savy Poop Pickup continues service through most winter conditions.

  • Frozen ground often makes waste easier to locate.

  • Consistent winter visits help prevent excessive spring buildup.

  • Winter weather does not automatically result in service cancellation.

Conditions for Skipping Service

A scheduled cleanup may be skipped under the following conditions:

  • Heavy snowfall that makes scooping ineffective

  • Extreme cold or dangerous wind chills

  • Unsafe driveway, walkway, or yard conditions

If a visit is skipped:

  • The decision is made for safety and practicality.

  • Service will resume on the next scheduled visit.

  • Billing remains unchanged unless otherwise communicated.

All weather-related decisions are made at management’s discretion and prioritize employee safety, service effectiveness, and overall practicality.

12. Annual Scheduled Office Closures

Savy Poop Pickup observes two weeks scheduled office closures per calendar year.

During these scheduled closure weeks:

  • Regular service visits will not occur.

  • Billing will remain unchanged for recurring customers.

When service resumes, the next scheduled visit will include removal of accumulated waste from the missed week (“double cleanup”).

Closure dates will be communicated approximately 30 days, 14 days, and 7 days prior via newsletter, email, and SMS.

Closure dates are determined annually at management’s discretion.
